Karelia is owned and operated by EA Level 1 Dressage Coach Angela Hayes, with a lifetime of experience in Showing and Dressage, as well as training horses and riders from beginners to advanced. As a qualified Equestian Australia Coach, Angela has full insurance, a Certificate in first Aid and a Working with Children Clearance.
You can be assured that you are training with a coach who is qualified, trained and tested to a high industry standard and kept up to date with the latest Equestian Federation recommendations and regulations.
Karelia Riding Instruction edges away from the title of ‘Riding School”, which is often associated with tired, over-worked horses doing hours of lessons and endless, boring circles around the arena. At Karelia, the horses are part of the family, and are carefully rotated and given fun, interesting exercises throughout their lessons to keep both horse and rider happy and motivated. Karelia’s horses teach the students just as much as the Coach does, and riders are encouraged to “Listen to the horse”, learning from both horse and Instructor teaching together as a team.
To meet the team take a look at the Gallery - the horses photos and profiles.
Karelia Riding Instruction is located at 2 Clare Lane Bywong (between Sutton and Bungendore).
Karelia is just 8mins off the Federal Hwy, via Macs Reef Road.
It is only 20mins from Gungahlin, ACT (about the same distance away as many of the other in town riding schools).
1mins from the ACT border, 30mins from Queanbeyan, 45mins from Goulburn
